Japan plans to hold an AI robot competition on the International Space Station as early as 2027, organized by the Tokyo Space AI Robot Association SAIRA. Teams will use AI to control robots inside the station, aiming to cultivate the next generation of space engineers. The association was established in July this year and will collaborate with universities, research institutions, and companies to promote development in areas such as space exploration, AI, robotics, and simulation.
